Education Appoints Dayna Clendinen New HR Director

The Department of Education has appointed Dayna Clendinen to be the new director of the Human Resources division and the latest member of the leadership team, according to a release from DOE.
Education Commissioner La VerneTerry, Ph.D., said, “Ms. Clendinen’s professional record establishes that she has the tenacity to be a catalyst for positive changes in the Human Resources division, recognizing that our people are our greatest asset.”
Clendine brings with her a background in communications, human resource management, leadership and administration coupled with 10 years of public and private managerial and executive experiences. Prior to her appointment, she served as the deputy commissioner of administration for the VI Department of Public Works where she maintained oversight for the territorial management of the areas of fiscal administration, human resources, payroll, MIS and the Office of Federal Grants. Additionally, her professional resume includes her tenure as the administrator for human resources with the North Carolina Foundation, executive assistant to the vice president for organizational and people development, and the director of Global Resourcing and Financial Analysis at GlaxoSmithKline.
