DPNR’s Division of Environmental Protection Continues Education Series

The Department of Planning and Natural Resources Division of Environmental Protection (DPNR-DEP) will continue its monthly education series on the DEP Solid Waste Management Program.

The meetings will focus on the regulatory requirements for used oil generation, storage and overall facility management and inspection. On St. Thomas, the meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 30. The St. Croix meeting will take place from 5:45-6:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, at the DEP conference room at Mars Hill.
These meetings are also intended to be interactive sessions for commercial entities to discuss their waste management needs, particularly with respect to storage and shipping. Consistent with this, it is the DPNR’s goal to provide the regulatory guidance that will allow facilities to achieve compliance with local and federal laws.
