Police Arrest Three on Assault and Other Charges

Police on St. Thomas arrested three people on separate charges last week.

• Daniel Kristofferson, 54, was arrested around 1:25 a.m. Thursday and charged with aggravated assault and battery, petit larceny, destruction of property, and disturbance of the peace for causing a disturbance at a hotel and not paying his bar tab.

While Kristofferson was being detained he kicked a police vehicle and spat in an officer’s face, police said.

Bail for Kristofferson was set at $10,000.

• Jennison J. Toussaint, 21, a St. Thomas native living in Estate Bovoni, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and charged with third-degree assault/domestic violence, for assaulting a woman he had a romantic relationship with, police said. According to police reports, Toussaint hit the victim on the left side of her face, wounding her ear.

Bail was denied due to the domestic violence charge.

• Khailah Blash, 23, of Oswald Harris Court housing community, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and charged with third-degree assault. According to police he stabbed a 44-year-old woman with a knife, cutting her on the upper right side of her back. The incident occurred at the housing community.

Bail for Blash was set at $25,000.

The victims were taken to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center and released after treatment. All suspects were remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
