A wake for Sigurd Fossdal will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Betsy’s Bar in Frenchtown. Fossdal, age 70, died on Sept. 28 in Miami, Fla., where he had been hospitalized after a fall on St. Thomas on Aug. 4. "Sig," as he was known, brought his singular brand of humor and love to St. Thomas, the community he adopted more than 30 years ago.
His wife, Bettie Biggs Fosdall, invites all. "Come and give me a big hug. It’s just a get together of his special friends," she said. "Come and give a toast to the big guy with a heart of gold."
