The Virgin Islands Perinatal Inc., through its Interconceptional Care Initiative, will hold Child Birth and Postpartum Education Classes, a five-week workshop, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. every Monday, starting on Nov. 8, at the Community Health Center, which is located on the 2nd floor of Schneider Regional Medical Center. The classes will cover breathing and relaxation techniques, comfort measures, the stages and phases of childbirth, basic newborn care, breast feeding a newborn and family planning measures. Participants are free to bring a partner or friend for support during this process.
