Police on St. Croix are investigating an armed robbery of the KFC restaurant in Estate Orange Grove.
At about 10:30 p.m. Monday an armed man approached an employee inside the restaurant and ordered them into the office, where the safe is located. The suspect demanded the safe be opened and took the money that was inside, then ran from the restaurant, heading north, according to the police report.
The suspect was described only as wearing dark clothing. No one was hurt during the robbery.
