A Letter of Thanks from the Kirby Family

Dear Source:
We would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts everybody who helped in the rescue of Robert Kirby on September 23, after his motor died while he was out fishing in a dinghy, and he drifted out to sea.
Our deepest gratitude goes out to St. John Rescue, the NPS, the Coastguard, VIPD, all the people who worked behind the scenes, and all the people who went out and searched for hours, after dark and in stormy weather, to bring him safely home.
We are so grateful to all our well-wishers, friends, and the people whose names we don’t even know, whose efforts ensured his survival.
With unending, inexpressible Thanks,
The Kirby family, St. John
