Pistarckle Theater Announces Its 2010/2011 Season

Pistarckle Theater will offer five plays for the 2010/2011 Season.
The “Rocky Horror Show”: the original musical comedy by Richard O’Brien that the cult classic movie was based on, with all your favorite songs and characters. “Rocky Horror” is a camp, tongue in cheek spoof on everything from Frankenstein to Flash Gordon with a naughty little twist. So warm up your libido and leave your inhibitions at home and “Let’s Do the Time Warp Again.” Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. on Oct. 14, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and at 2 p.m. on Oct. 24.
“American Buffalo”: David Mamet’s raw and visceral study of three losers planning a heist. Don, a failing junk shop dealer, realizes he has unwittingly been suckered into selling a rare coin to a wealthy customer for a pittance. He and his young assistant, Bob, set out to seek revenge by stealing the man’s priceless coin collection. Teach, a seedy sometime friend, catches wind of the plot and butts his way into the caper, causing an explosive situation where only two will be left standing. Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. on Nov. 18, 19, 20, 26,27, and Dec. 2 and 3, and at 2 p.m. Nov. 28.
The All Night Strut”: is a classy, sassy, musical revue of the hits of the 1930s and 40s where “It Don’t Mean a Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing.” Featuring music from Hoagy Carmichael, Frank Loesser, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, Cab Calloway and George Gershwin, this slick slice of yesteryear will sing and dance itself into the audience’s heart. Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. on Jan. 13, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. on Jan 23.
"Happy Days" written by one of the world’s most renowned playwrights, Samuel Beckett, "pursues his relentless search for the meaning of existence, probing the tenuous relationships that bind one person to another and each to the universe…" Winnie is trapped in the life she has made, but regardless of the trials and tribulations, she is determined to make this one of her happy days. A one woman tour du force performance that will profoundly and deeply move you. Playing at 8 p.m. on Feb. 17, 18, 19, 25, 26 and March 1 and 2.
HAIR”: “Let the Sunshine In.” Come and let your hair down, and join Berger and the tribe for an evening of Rock n’ Roll, dance, exuberance, joy, fun, laughter, revolution and peace. It’s the dawning of “The Age of Aquarius.” Performances are scheduled at 8 p.m. on April 7, 8, 9, 15, 16, 17 and May 6 and 7, and at 2 p.m. on April 17.
