Kevin Delano Burke Dies at 37

Kevin Delano Burke of Estate Mary’s Fancy died on Sept. 14, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 37 years old.
He is survived by his mother, Agnes Vidal; father, Calvin D. Burke Sr.; stepmother, Gwendolyn Burke; sisters: Carol M. Burke, Carolyn M. Burke, Maureen Burke-Ventura, Denise Jackson and Krystal Burke; brothers: Dr. Glenwood Charles, Alvin D. Burke Sr. and Robert D. Burke; nieces: Ronae and Sherraine Burke, Nyesha Richards, Ronique, Ajada, Reshema and Shamiyah Burke, Shamar Johnson and Noelani Charles; nephews: Ronel D. Burke, Danley Petersen III, Shane I. M. Hodge, Andre and Alvin Burke, Angel Ventura III, Rishaun Burke and Glenwood Charles Jr.; great nieces: J’nyia Finch and J’nae Richards; and great nephews: Kyrone Burke, Keyon Gonzales, Devante Petersen, Darnley Petersen, Kyrel Burke, Amari Lockhart, Kynai Christian, Kyraun Burke and Kyneil Andreson.
He is also survived by aunts: Hendrina, Utilda, Ruthine, Maylyn, Revillia, Laura, Ercille, Udean and Della; uncles: Crisford, Lenford, Burton, Alvin, Julius, Cleo and Jeff Vidal; godmother, Catherine Burton; special cousins: Roy "Shaggy" Joseph, Emily Westby and Vida Chinnery; cousins and other relatives: Messer, Woodrup, Williams, Joseph and many others in Dominica; special friends: Kenneth "Baso" Duinkerk and family, Paderick Coursey and family, Paul, Roger, Kainth and family, St. Dunstan’s Episcopal School Class of 1990 and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Way of the Cross Baptist Church in Catherine’s Rest. Interment will be at Chrisitansted Cemetery.
