Electric service interrupted due to Hurricane Earl has been substantially restored to residents and businesses throughout the territory, V.I. Water and Power Authority Executive Director Hugo Hodge Jr. announced Sunday night.
Line crews will continue to respond to trouble calls in isolated or pocket areas where problems may still exist, according to a release from the authority. St. Thomas, St. John and Water Island customers still experiencing a problem in their area should call the Hurricane Call Center at 777-9272 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday and on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to noon. Reports can also be made to the regular emergency number at 774-1424 on a 24-hour basis.
On St. Croix, customers still experiencing problems can call the center at 713-9272 on Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thereafter, all trouble calls can be made to 773-0150 or 773-2250 extension 3056 on a 24-hour basis.
Customers with damaged weather heads from the storm should have a licensed electrician apply to WAPA for a disconnection and reconnection of service in order to make repairs. The customary fee of $111 will be waived for this purpose. Once repairs are completed, service will be restored to the home or business.

St. Thomas: Smith Bay, Anna’s Retreat, Nazareth, Mafolie, Estate Elizabeth, Tabor & Harmony, Peterborg, Magen’s Bay, Frydendahl and New Hernhutt.
St. Croix: LaGrange, Two Williams, Mahogany Road, Annaly, Profit, Little Princess Hill, Anna’s Hope, Ham’s Bluff, Mount Victory, Turner’s Hole and on the Northside.
