Rufina Pentheny Dead at 77

Rufina Patheny Rufina Pentheny, also known as "Fina," of Whim Gardens died on Aug. 18, at her residence. She was 77 years old.

She is survived by her daughters: Ann Forbes-Samuel and Louise Allen; son, Miguel Belardo Jr.; grandchildren: George, Michael and Daniel Gautier, Keisha Allen, Tiffany Allen-Brathwaite, Ashel, Rashel, Pashel, Kiya, Shara and Babatumbe Belardo; 21 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Henry A. Samuel; and sister, Sylvia Arnold-Jonas. She is also survived by nieces: Anna Macedon, Nina O’Bryan-Williams, Nathalie O’Bryan, Tashima O’Bryan, Louise Arnold-Clarke, Khema Williams, Denise Arnold, Marlene Jonas-Barnes, Felicia Jonas and Betty Arnold-Penn; nephews: Eugene Arnold Jr., Charles Jonas, Leroy Jonas, Alrick Jonas, Lloyd O’Bryan Jr., Winston O’Bryan and Richard Cornelius Jr.; cousins and other relatives: the Joseph Bruce family, the Ruby Ritter family, the Arnold family, the Adelbert Bryan family, the Richards family, the McBean family and the Delta Dorsch family; special friends: Doreen Depusoir, Ingaborg McIntosh, Lenore Thomas and Marilyn Martin; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 31, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
All arrangements are by James Memorial Funeral Home.
