V.I. Childhood Report Available for Review

The U.S. Virgin Islands’ "Early Childhood Advisory Committee Strategic Report" is ready for review at territorial libraries.

The report, on development and enhancement of high-quality early childhood education and school readiness, is required by the Improving Head Start Act of 2007.

Copies of the report will be available to the public for inspection and comment through June 30 at public libraries and University of the Virgin Islands libraries on St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix, as well as at The Family Connection in Vitraco Mall on St. Thomas.

Public hearings are scheduled:

• On St. Croix, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. June 29 at the Meeting Hall at the Arthur Abel Complex on Hospital Street in Frederiksted;

• On St. Thomas from 6 to 7:30 p.m. June 30 at the Sugar Estate Head Start Complex Conference Room on First Street.
