Mini-grants that will facilitate summer camps for 2010 are now available for non-profit organizations through the Virgin Islands Department of Human Services. Total funding available for this project is $200,000. The practical budget range is $1,000 to $5,000 per applicant through Monday, June 28. The main objective is to support non-profit organizations that provide activities during summer vacation that will give at-risk youth an opportunity to gain new learning or culturally enriching experiences that otherwise would not be economically available to them.

The final day to return receipts is Sept. 10.
Completed applications must be e-mailed to: vinonprofitmanagement@yahoogroups.com. Additionally, one original must be received by DHS Offices on either St. Thomas or St. Croix (addresses are given above) no later than 4 p.m. on Monday, June 28.
