Auckland Merchant of Williams Delight died on Thursday, April 22. He was 71 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine "Jean" Merchant; daughter, Andrea Merchant; son, Roderick Merchant; grandchildren: Kenyatta, Shavonne, Ashley and Roderick Jr. Merchant; adopted granddaughters: Shawnoiya and Xhane Kirby; sisters: Icilma Kent, Yvonne Bryan and Angela Mason; and brother, Leroy Merchant. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Elaine Merchant; brothers-in-law: Edgar Bryan, Stedroy Kent, Tyrone Mason and Bertram Henderickson; great aunt, Helen Carlie; nieces: Icilma, Esther, Cynthia, Althea, Yolanda, Daina, Edith, Ann-Marie, Yvette, Yvonne, Shanelle, Loretta Jarvis, Hyacinth Pell, Carolyn Brown, Vanya Clarke, Shera and Shanella; niece-in-law, Myrthlyn B. A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 9, at the Bethel Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
