Public School Registration Begins June 1 on St. Croix

St. Croix District Insular Superintendent of Schools Gary Molloy has announced that public school registration for the 2010-2011-school year will begin on June 1. Parents seeking to enroll their children can do soMonday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Office of Pupil Personnel Services at the Theodora Dunbavin Complex.

Currently, students can be registered for kindergarten through Friday, June 4. The child to be registered must be born in the year 2005 or earlier to enter kindergarten.Upper grades registration for students in grades 1-12 will begin on June 1 and will continue through June 25.
Parents are reminded of the documents required for registration:
1. Original birth certificate
2. V.I. Immunization Card with accompanying Health Clearance form from the Charles Harwood Clinic
4. Social Security Card
5. Proof of physical address -official document showing name and street address (i.e.: driver’s license, WAPA bill)
6. Power of Attorney or Court Appointed Guardianship (if student does not reside with parent)
7. Final report card from former school must be presented for students entering grades 1-9
8. Transcript from former school must be presented for high school students in grades 9-12.
Note: All documents must be available at registration time in order to process. Parents and guardians are further advised that students will not be registered without the presentation of a V.I. IMMUNIZATION CARD with the attached blue clearance form issued at the Immunization Clinic at Charles Harwood Memorial Hospital. Immunization Clearance forms are a mandatoryrequirement of the registration process and no excetptions will be made.
