Genealogy Library Presents Family History Exhibit and Seminar

The Caribbean Genealogy Library Inc. (CGL) will host a one-day family history seminar and exhibition entitled “Old World and New World Rediscovery: The Roots and Stories of Caribbean Families.” The seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 17, at the University of the Virgin Islands Administration and Conference Center. There will be a lecture series of invited presenters who will provide first hand information and insights on conducting family genealogy in the territory and the Caribbean. From 1-5 p.m., there will be an interactive Family Exhibition where researchers and presenters will showcase their family trees, charts, photographs, documentation and memorabilia.

Reservations are recommended for anyone interested in being a presenter at the exhibition. For more information, call 777-1012 or 714-2136.
This program is funded by a grant from the Virgin Islands Cultural Heritage Institute and in collaboration with the Virgin Islands Ancestry Discovery Group.
