Brief: Man Arrested for February Stabbing

Police on St. Croix arrested 44-year-old Lionel Andres, aka “Lion,” on Wednesday in connection with a non-fatal stabbing that occurred Feb. 14 in L.B.J. Gardens in Christiansted.
According to a police statement, Andres stabbed a 51-year-old man in the left forearm during an argument. He has been charged with first-degree assault.
Andres was arrested on a warrant issued by V.I. Superior Court. Police obtained the warrant based on an investigation following the incident.
Bail was set at $50,000, and Anders was remanded to the custody of the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending his advice of rights hearing.
