Two St. Croix Principals Selected as Judges for National School Change Awards

Two district principals have been selected to serve as judges for the National School Change Awards sponsored by the National Principals Leadership Institute and the American Association of School Administrators (AASA). Coleen Williams of Ricardo Richards Elementary and Daryl Richards of Alfredo Andrews Elementary Schools were selected. The Change Awardswill be held March 13 and 20, in New York City.

Six schools are selected each year for recognition as schools that have significantly changed for the better. Responding to 16 specific criteria, each nominated school provides data and documentation to support their quest for the prestigious national award. St. Croix public schools are urged to apply for the prestigious National School Change Award program by District Superintendent Molloy.
Both principals have attended the annual institute,which is held during July 10-17, in New York City, and where current and provocative educational issues are examined and discussed among educational administrators from across the United States and Canada. The 2010 theme is “Exercising Leadership for Our Times.”
