Evelyn Williams School Schedules “Literacy Night” and Report Card Distribution for Feb. 18

The Evelyn M. Williams Elementary School will host its Literacy Night at 5:30 p.m. onThursday, Feb. 18,in the cafeteria, according to a press release from Principal Anastasie Jackson, Ph.D. It will feature local children’s author Steve Swinburne, who will make a special presentation of his new release, "From Blank Page to Book.”Swinburneis theauthor of over 25 humorous non-fiction children’s books.

Other titles include: “Moon in Bear’s Eyes,” “Saving Manatees,” “Turtle Tide: The Ways of Sea Turtles,” “Unbeatable Beaks” and “OceanSoup.”
Parents are reminded that report cards will also be distributed on Thursday evening; they will be afforded an opportunity to activate Edlineaccounts as well. Principal Jackson encourages all parents and guardians to attend the Literacy Night to help benefit their children’s educational future.
