Iona Buckley, also known as “Albertine,” “Albo” or “Al,” of Flamboyant Garden died on Nov. 11. She was 85 years old.
She is survived by her daughters: Rosetta Watts and Andrea Freeman; sons: Overton Davis, Sylvester Buckley and Eric Buckley; and grandchildren: Davanelle and Kywana Freeman, Arlene and Geretta Watts, Erica and Gabriell Buckley, Maressa Davis, Shavia, Shanika, Iyana and Dashia Buckley, Elon and Bernel Watts, Jeremiah Buckley, Marvin, Kevin, Claton and Everson Davis, Corey Buckley and Brandon Sotorie. She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Jahleem and Kahleem Bradshaw, Jahbari, Jahqueas, Kymani, Jahmeal, Jahnague, Bijorn, Bernel Jr., Jahlissa and Diarrah Watts, Aliah and Julius Felix; daughter-in-law, Wilma Davis; sons-in-law: Austin Watts and Carlton Freeman; niece, Cherise Scatliffe; nephew, Vincent Buckley; cousins and other relatives: Ms. Hazell, the Carty family and the Queeley family; special friends: Maria Browne, Ms. Smithen, Neta Farrel, Carolyn Williams, Julie Swanston, Shelly-Ann Rawlins and Sonya; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. and a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Apostolic Faith Mission Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
