Honoring Dennis

Dear Source:
In the wake of all of this tragedy going on around me, I feel a great need to go back to the positive side of this story and to thank the owners of Hull Bay Hideaway and all of the residents of St. Thomas who showed up in droves, to either donate a pig, cook the food, bring a dish, just talk, eat a plate of food, give a donation, drink a Budweiser in honor of Dennis, or just to look at all of the pictures of our dear friend. The large turnout just showed how in two short days the word could get around and hundreds of people knew how just one person can affect a community in a positive way. It was a wonderful event that brought the best behavior of almost everyone that attended.
It is just so sad that the horrible actions of a few on the beach could mar what was happening inside and could interrupt such a wonderful event. He truly touched so many of our lives in a positive way. Let’s try and keep it that way, positive. Thanks again to everyone!
