American Advertising Federation-USVI will hold its 2009 Bowl-O-Rama Charity Fundraiser from 4-7 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the VI Christian Ministries Bowling Center. The challenge will include 12 teams (4 team members per team / 48 total bowlers). Each team selects a local charitable organization to represent at the event; if the choice of charity is already claimed, the team will need to choose an alternative. So register your team and your charity early.
The team with the highest combined overall score wins, claiming proceeds collected from the silent auction of local artists’ bowling pins for their charity.
The team entry fee is $100 payable to AAF-USVI. Each team has one hour to complete one game (10 frames). The first six teams will begin bowling at 4 p.m. and finish at 5 p.m. The second six teams will begin bowling at 5 p.m. and finish at 6 p.m. Bowlers must arrive promptly 30 minutes before their start time to select shoes and balls and be in position to start. Late teams will score only those frames completed within the hour time period.
The awards ceremony will immediately follow. Trophies and prizes will be awarded for the Highest Team Score, Highest Individual Bowler Score, Best Team Uniform, Lowest Individual Bowler Score and Most Creative “Body English.”

Be the first to see the pins and start the bidding from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16 at a Gallery Showing and Artist Reception for the pins at Mango Tango Gallery in Yacht Haven Grande. The silent auction will reconvene at the bowling center at 4 p.m. on the day of the Bowl-O-Rama. At 6:15 p.m., the silent auction will officially close and the highest bidder will win each respective bowling pin. The bidder does not have to be present.
