Brief: Luis Hospital Passes Radiology Inspection With Flying Colors

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission arrived unannounced at the Gov. Juan F Luis Hospital on July 24 to inspect the hospital’s radiology and nuclear medicine department, run by the private company: Advanced Radiology. The inspectors looked at radiation safety, compliance with NRC rules and compliance with the department’s license.

After selective examinations of their procedures and records, and interviewing personnel, the inspectors identified no violations, Advanced Radiology reported this week.

The Nuclear Medicine Department is over seen by Dr. Andre Galiber Jr. who is the radiation safety officer; Dr. Dante Galiber, who conducts the nuclear cardiology stress tests and Scott Brinkerhoff, nuclear medicine technologist.
