Diane Renee Horsford Dies at 48

Diane Renee HorsfordDiane Renee Horsford of Tan Tan Terrace died on Sept. 13. She was 48 years old.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Horsford; father, Wilmot Horsford; daughters: Sherisma Thomas-Canton and Kenisha Thomas; sons: Ray Thomas Jr. and Raheem Thomas: grandchildren: Shakia, Shawn Jr., Shakorie and Shakoya Canton; sisters: Sandra and Nicole Horsford; and brothers: Richard and Leander Horsford. She is also survived by son-in-law, Shawn Canton Sr.; sister-in-law, Tamla Horsford; nieces: Shanika Farrell, Keisha and Akeishma Horsford; nephews: Malik and Shakeel Iles, Elijah, Emmanuel and K’Mani George, Jayden, Payton and Gaven Horsford, David Morton and Keith Horsford Jr.; great niece, Yamarie Morton; and great nephew, David Morton Jr. Other survivors include: great aunt, Valborg Hansen; great uncle, Kenneth Hansen; aunts: Delita Civil, Shirley O’Reilly, Gloria Sealey, Paulina, Loma, Zelma, Virginia Horsford, Rosetta Stevens, Azzulla Horsford, Techeira, Iris Sarauw, Eleanor Telfor, Rhea Hodge, Bernice Richards and Eileen Crudup; uncles: Ulric Plaskett, Paul, Rosaldo Horsford, Norris Moorehead, Winston, Claude, Larry, Mario, Darryl, Morris Moorehead and Warren Briscoe; special cousin, Barbara McIntosh; other cousins, relatives and friends too numerous to mention including the Acoy, Maranda and Willock families; special friends: Angela Ortega Serrano, Heather Payne Horsford and Brenda Plaskett ; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Tributes will begin at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
