Building Professionals Invited to “Lunch and Learn” Workshop on Silt Fence Installation

A “Lunch and Learn” workshop on Silt Fence Installation and Appropriate Uses will be held from noon to 1 p.m. , on Thursday, Aug. 27, at Sputnik’s in Coral Bay, St. John. Joe Mina , P.E., stormwater engineer of the Coral Bay Community Council will be the presenter.
The workshop will cover the proper usage of silt fence for erosion pollution prevention and will include a "hands-on" demonstration of proper installation techniques. Types of fencing and alternatives depending on the site and slope will be discussed. Participants may bring their own lunches or enjoy Julietta’s Roti’s, which will be available for sale. Attendance at four of the workshops will earn a participant an EPA-CARE "I CARE" certificate.
