Rotary Mid-Isle Throws a Back to School Fun Day

In an effort to support children and parents in preparing for the 2009- 2010 academic year, Rotary Mid-Isle is planning an event to get everyone ready in style while having fun. It will host a “Back to School Fun Day” from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 22, on the west lawn of University of the Virgin Islands St. Croix Campus.
There will be bouncies, a face-painting clown, games, music and food. There will also be free school supplies for school-aged children and free car seats distributed to parents with children of the ages required by law to use them when riding in a car. The event is a result of a partnership of three organizations: Rotary Club of St. Croix Mid-Isle, St. Croix Alumnae of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and the Rotaract Club of St. Croix.
For more information, contact Nina York at 718-7017, or Shelby King Gaddy (president of Rotary Club of St. Croix Mid-Isle and St. Croix Alumnae of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.) at 773-2626.
