June 21, 2009 – The family of Leah Demona Soto will hold a vigil celebrating her life at noon on Sunday, June 28, at home in Frederiksted, St. Croix. Her memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, June 29, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 45A Queen Street, Christiansted, St. Croix. It will be followed by burial in Kingshill Cemetery at the grave site of her younger sister.
The family recently returned Leah’s cremated remains home to St. Croix to commemorate her death, which took place on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at the age of 41. She was eulogized in a funeral service held in Decatur, Georgia, on April 6, 2008, at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home.
She is survived by her mother, Edna Roebuck Soto; father, Elminio Soto; son, Keanu Michael Mole; daughter, Summer Marie Dobbs: brother, David Elminio Soto; and nephew, David Elminio Soto II. She was preceded in death by her sister, Diana Marie Soto. Leah leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles and life-long friends.
