Health Department to Observe National HIV Testing Day

National HIV Testing Day will be observed on June 27, 2009, with the theme, "Take the Test. Take Control!"
The Department of Health STD/HIV/TB Program has scheduled outreach activities over a four-day period, in partnership with local businesses and government agencies, to commemorate the day.
"We are partnering with public and private organizations interested in removing the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS," Sheen said. "Our mobile units will be out in the community at times that will be convenient for residents to take to take advantage of outreach activities."
The schedule is as follows:
St. Croix
Tuesday, June 23
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Juan F. Luis Emergency Room
Thursday, June 25
7 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Seaborne Airlines, St. Croix
Friday, June 26
10 p.m. to 2 a.m. – H2O
Saturday, June 27
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – John F. Kennedy housing Project
St. Thomas
Wednesday, June 24
· 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Emergency Room, Schneider Regional Medical Center
Friday, June 26
7 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Seaborne Airlines, St. Thomas
