St. Croix Animal Welfare Center to Hold Memorial for Slain Colleague

June 4, 2009 – The St. Croix Animal Welfare Center will honor the life of staff member George Cintron at noon, on Saturday, June 6, at the center.
He was shot and killed on Friday, May 29, in an apparent robbery. As yet, the killers have not been identified. The AWC staff asks that anyone with information regarding the crime, please come forward and contact either the VIPD or Crimestoppers.
George Cintron was a dedicated staff member. He cared deeply for the animals and was a compassionate human being.
