Woodson Re-Opens Thursday After Electrical Fire Wednesday

May 20, 2009 — Students at John Woodson Junior High School were dismissed Wednesday morning as a result of a small electrical fire that affected the school's entire electrical system, but the school will be open for business Thursday.
"The situation has had a temporary fix as new poles were planted and alternate lines were run to the school," said St. Croix District Superintendent Gary Molloy in a statement from the Education Department Wednesday evening. Molloy gave kudos to the Department of Public Works and Water and Power Authority crews for their rapid assistance.
"They really did a superlative job in getting us back online, and as a result we are ready to accept students tomorrow," Molloy said.
