Leonie David Dies in North Carolina

May 15, 2009 – Leonie David, also known as "Ivy," last resided in Charlotte, North Carolina.
She is survived by her daughters: Elise Florence Rogers and Cheryl David; son, Winston Wattley; grandsons: Dion Charles and Paul Wattley; nephews: Moliere Adams and Malcolm Smith; nieces: Pauline James Storrod, Vida Herbert, Gloria Grey, Carol Daflaar, Lennette Fox, Angela Joseph and Rosemary Laws; 31 great nieces and nephews; and 39 great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends: the Charles and the Anthony families, Joan Roberts and family, Maude Joseph and family, the Joseph family, Nellie Ranton, and the foster grandparents of Claude O. Markoe School; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, May 20, at the Southside United Pentecostal Church, Paradise. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
