Caribbean Museum Center to Host Wata Kalalloo Cook-off

The Caribbean Museum Center for the Arts in Frederiksted, St. Croix, is looking for the Caribbean's best kalalloo. The "Wata Kalalloo" cook-off is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, at the museum at 10 Strand Street in downtown Frederiksted, on the waterfront. Tasting gets started at 11 a.m.
The Caribbean, like the kalalloo dish, is a melting pot of many nations and cultures. But do you have what it takes to make deh people shout "Wata Kalalloo?" There will be entertainment, and the best recipe will take top honors. Proceeds will go towards the Museum Center's efforts to promote the art and artists of the Caribbean and to foster the development of the arts among young people.
To register, go to www.kalalloo.com or call the Caribbean Museum Center for the Arts at 772-2662 for more information.
