April 25, 2009 – Jaheem Luis Herrera died on April 16, at his residence. He was 11 years old.
He is survived by his mother, Masika Bermudez; father, Luis Enrique Herrera; grandparents: Gustavo Bermudez and Olga Lopez; great grandparents: Leonoe Gonzalez, and Eva and Pablo Bermudez; stepfather, Norman M. Keene; and sisters: Yeiralis Bermudez, Ny’Irah and Ny’Itsa Keene. He is also survived by aunts: Ama Bermudez, Angelica Velazquez and Nnenna Bermudez; uncles: Julio Estrada, Gustavo Bermudez Jr. and Benjamin Cline; godparents: Erika Matta and Ricardo Rivera; cousins: Aiyana and Jhaysen Nino, Precious Greenidge, Franchesca Rijo, Yulianne and Anayah Osorio, Ricardo and Marienelis Rivera, Carlos Martin, Benjamin Cline Jr., and Jahsmarie, Jahnayrie and Jahshaleyn Estrada; and special friends: Raheem Thomas and Alvis Brown; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The family requests that mourners wear bright colors.
A viewing will be held at 11 a.m. and a funeral service at noon, on Tuesday, April 28, at Kingshill Chapel. Interment follows at Kingshill Cemetery.
