The Virgin Islands Cultural Heritage Institute in collaboration with the St. Thomas and St. Croix Heritage Dancers, and the St. Thomas Friends of Denmark will host a Quadrille and Folkdance Workshop and Dance from 4-7 p.m., on Saturday, April 25, in the Emancipation Garden.
This event will feature Milo's Kings and over 40 Danish historic folk dancers as well as musicians from various parts of Denmark, who are visiting the territory during the month of April.
This cross-cultural program will provide participants with firsthand knowledge and demonstrations of V.I. quadrille, folkdances and quelbe, and well as Danish and European folkdances and musical traditions. All quadrille groups, dance companies, cultural organizations, dancers, music lovers and interested individuals are welcome to participate free of charge.
