St. Croix Landmarks Society to Lead a 'Ruins Ramble'

St. Croix Landmarks Society invites the public to a "ramble through the ruins" at Estate Diamond and Ruby at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, April 26. The well-preserved ruins are associated with the Heyliger, Oxholm and Skeoch families. George Tyson, acclaimed Virgin Islands historian, will present a site interpretation. The walk will begin from the Kmart appliance store parking lot (across from the WAPA building) and will include an easy to moderate walk into the bush and an exploration of the sugar plantation ruins. At the end of the walk, participants will have some light refreshments. Please dress appropriately.
Tickets are available at the start of the tour and are $12 for members of SCLS and $15 for non-members. Those who would like to can join the organization at the walk.
