Tutu Park Given the All Clear After Bomb Scare

March 31, 2009 — Tutu Park Mall was shut down for a few hours as law enforcement officers investigated a bomb threat that was called in sometime Tuesday morning.
The building was evacuated, but no bomb was found and the mall re-opened around noon, according to Police spokeswoman Melody Rames. While the search was in progress, residents were prevented from coming into the mall, which backed up traffic in the area.
The roads began to clear up again around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Source will provide additional details on the incident once more information becomes available.
