Alert: Suspect Nabbed After Shooting at Safari Bus

March 25, 2009 — Two young men, passengers on a safari bus, shot at the vehicle after disembarking in the Ft. Mylner area Wednesday afternoon.
One of them was captured immediately. Police are searching for the second one.
The incident occurred around 4 p.m.
As of 6 p.m., police could not say how many passengers were on the safari, or what kind of weapons were used, but no one was hurt, according to Police spokeswoman Melody Rames. They also could not say if a weapon was seized along with the suspect.
Rames said she could only offer only preliminary information because no reports had been filed at the time she spoke with the Source.
The incident snarled traffic in the area at commute time, according to a caller.
