Diane Kreiner's Two-Day Annual Show Will Feature Watercolors and Oils

Diane Kreiner's Annual Art Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28, at QuickPics Gift Shop at The Kilnworks. The exhibit, titled "Art in the Yard," will showcase original oils and watercolors by the artist. Kreiner will be there both days to greet all art enthusiasts who attend.
The new show will feature original paintings as well as a selection of her fine art reproductions available year-round at the gift shop.
Diane has won many awards for her paintings both locally and nationally. She is best noted for her vibrant island market and street scenes. A lifetime of drawing and over 40 years of island living go into each one of her pieces. Kreiner is now one of the island's most recognized artists. She has the ability to capture a West Indian scene in such a way that you feel like you've turned a corner and stepped right into the painting. She specializes in colorful scenes featuring local people.
"I've lived here most of my life, so it's truly my soul and spirit I put into each painting. I love Caribbean colors and the way the people look and walk. I use a lot of color in my paintings because that's the way I see and feel it," Kreiner said.
The Kilnworks is located on Rt. 38, Emile Francis Drive just east of the turn-off to Coral World. Look for the big iguana holding the sign. For further information, call 774-3500.
