March 3, 2009 – Aurelia Rodriguez Garcia, also known as "Auri," of Strand Street, died at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital on Feb. 27. She was 78 years old.
She is survived by her spouse, Miguel Angel Garcia; daughters: Ivelisse Garcia Siles and Yvonne Garcia Contreras; stepdaughter, Ramona Garcia; grandchildren: Martin A. Siles, Dinah O. Siles, Miguel A. Noyola and Maricela Noyola; and great-grandchildren: Ricky Ibarra and Normi Prado. She is also survived by sisters: Eugenia Rodriguez Sucre, Eulalia Rodriguez Del'Etoile, Angelita Rodriguez Schuchart, and Verana and Celia Rodriguez; brother, Carlos Rodriguez; sons-in-law: Fernando A. Siles and John R. Contreras; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m., on Thursday, March 5, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Frederiksted Cemetery.
