St. John Film Society to Screen 'Life and Debt'

The St. John Film Society presents a free film series on the first Tuesday of each month. This month's offering will be "Life and Debt" by Stephanie Black and narrated by Jamaica Kincaid (80 min.) at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 3,at Sputnik. The film is an award-winning feature-length documentary that was screened at the 2001 Human Rights Watch Film Festival. It explores the complexity of international lending and free trade in the developing world. It focuses on individual Jamaicans who struggle to survive amid U.S. and multinational economic agendas. www.lifeanddebt.org
