Feb. 27, 2009 – Carlos Manuel Aponte, a veteran of the Korean Conflict, of Estate Sally's Fancy died on Feb. 25, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital.
He is survived by his spouse, Juanita Aponte; daughters: Carmen, Maria Esther and Ramonita Aponte; sons: Carlos M. Aponte Jr. and Angel Luis Aponte; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister, Teresa Bonano; brother, Hector Aponte; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, March 2, at The Holy Cross Catholic Church, Christiansted. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery's Veteran Section.
