Melsada Cameron Romney Dies at 74

Feb. 18, 2009 – Melsada Cameron Romney died on Feb. 17, at Roy L. Schneider Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Romney, and grandchild, Jamal Romney. She was 74 years old.

She is survived by children: Lawrence, Louis, Lucien, Ludence, Leonard, Lisa and Lauren Romney and Carla Romney-Kirkland; adopted daughters: Aldrea Fahie and Nicole Donovan; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters: Erica Donovan, Alpha Robinson, Angelica Smith, Wistaria Donovan, Jennifer Bertie and Stephony Francis; brothers: Romeo Cameron, Alchardio Cameron and Fernando Cameron; six sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law, four daughters-in-law; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The first viewing will be held from 5-8 p.m., on Friday, March 6, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a second viewing at 8 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m., on Saturday, March 7, at Wesley Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Eastern Cemetery.
