Carnival Prince and Princess Contestants Introduced to the Public

Feb. 6, 2009 – The Virgin Islands Carnival Prince and Princess Committee will present the 2009 Carnival Prince and Princess contestants at 3 p.m., on Saturday Feb. 7, at the Tutu Park Mall Center Court. This year's theme for the introduction is "Echoes Through Time, A Percy's Bus Stop Coney Island Lyme."
"We are very excited that four young men have stepped up to the plate so that we can have a traditional Prince and Princess Competition this year. Being in any type of competition not only broadens the horizons for our young ladies, but it also opens up a whole world of experience and knowledge for our young men so that they can grow to become pillars in our community," said Canika George-John, chairperson of the committee.
"It is always heartwarming to the see the amount of support that these young people receive not only from their family and friends but from the whole community," George-John said.
For persons that are unable to attend the show at the mall they can listen to Radio One for a live broadcast.
For further information, contact Canika George-John at 776-3112.
