Animal Abuse Case, Unpardonable Acts

Dear Source:

I hope that the jury in the dog cruelty case are committed to bringing about justice for this animal and sending a loud and clear message that the days when any type of animal abuse shall be tolerated are over. Anyone committing these unpardonable acts against any type of animal should be severely punished. This is why we finally have laws against this type of behavior.
It sickens me what was done to this dog and so many other animals that the public will never know about. It's time to put the bite into this animal cruelty law and stop the senseless brutality, which many of our animal companions and livestock are forced to endure at the hands of sub-humans.
To tie a dog and beat it with a stick with a nail in it and leave it tied to die is horrendous. Thank God for the caring and compassionate young man that took Max to be treated as well as the care provided by the Animal Welfare Center and Duke Deller's Veterinary Clinic.
Unfortunately, while a volunteer for the Humane Society, I have seen and heard of worse treatment. Now is the time to put an end to this behavior. Now is also time for the Police Department to treat these offenses seriously and respond to these types of crimes, promptly.
