HOPE Inc. Cancels Biennial Gala Benefit

Jan. 28, 2009 – Due to low ticket sales and little community support, Helping Others in a Positive Environment (HOPE Inc.) has been forced to cancel its 4th Biennial Gala “A Treasured HOPE” with guest speaker Reverend Alfred “Al” Sharpton. All ticket holders will be refunded in full and all businesses that purchased ads will be reimbursed in full
HOPE Inc. will continue providing HIV prevention and education services at its Dronnigens Gade address on 7th Day Street on St. Thomas and Myrah Keating Smith Community Health Center on St. John on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The organization thanks all persons who contributed and supported the event, the efforts of the agency and those HOPE serves.
