Dear Source:
It really not looking at the complete picture to not having the work on Centerline road going 24 hours a week for 7 days a week. The inconvenience to the public and wasted extra fuel sitting in traffic for such a long time could be cut into a third of that was done. But it we can not afford it. Well I do not see how we can not afford to get this job done asap. It affects one of the busiest commercial areas and main tourist area in the whole V. I. in a very negative way, not to mention businesses directly affected in the area. The cost in direct dollars spent may be a bit more to work 24/7 but the savings of indirect costs, less time of traffic congestion for the public, and less time of a negative impact and impression on our cruise ship industry far outweighs any extra cost. Think about being inconvenienced for 4 months instead of a full year. It should be a no brainer.
