Steve Simon & The Jazz Islanders will host a CD release party at the Beach Bar at 4 p.m., on Sunday, Jan. 18, at Wharfside Village in Cruz Bay, St. John.
"Live At The Beach Bar" is the band's first CD and was recorded live at the Beach Bar on St. John over the past 10 months. It features jazz greats Sally Smith, Joe Ramsay, Rhett Simmonds, Dale Harrigan, Conrad Lehfeldt, Andrew Cameron and Steve Simon. Guest artists on the album include Cliff Finch, Bruce Abbott, Steve Norris and Leon Joyce Jr.
For the past nine years, they have been playing to standing-room-only audiences, so come and enjoy an afternoon of great jazz right on the beach in Cruz Bay and help them to celebrate the release of their new CD.
