St. Croix Teen Missing Since Saturday

Dec. 29, 2008 — Police ask community members to help search for 17-year-old Vanessa Richards, a resident of the V.I. Behavioral Services facility on St. Croix missing since Saturday.
The facility gave Richards a four-day pass and allowed her out Wednesday through Sunday with a "special approved friend," according to a Human Services news release. She went missing Saturday and, after a search was conducted, her disappearance was reported to the police.
Richards is 5'10" and weighs between 135 and 140 pounds. She has black hair, black eyes and a dark complexion, according to the release. Anyone with information on Richards' whereabouts should contact Det. Claudette Sutton in the V.I. Police Department's Juvenile Unit at 778-2211, ext. 2048.
