Dec. 15, 2008 – The UWS won the battle for third place in the St. Thomas Region when they defeated the Waitikubuli 4-2 in Sunday's action at the Lionel Roberts Stadium. The goal scorers for the UWS were Vivian Florent, 2, and Raymond Chetram and Addison Lawrence, 1 each. In the evening's late game, the fourth-time defending champion Positive Vibes kept their very slim title hopes alive when they defeated the Laraza 3-2. Keithroy Saddler scored a hat trick for the Positive Vibes while Juan Carlos Arboleda and Franky Alexis scored for Laraza.
Action will continue this Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Lionel Roberts Stadium when the UWS face the league-leading New Vibes at 7 p.m., followed by the Positive Vibes vs Central Link at 9 p.m.
