Obama Mamas Beat Pain Killers, 11-2

Dec. 6, 2008 — In the Quarren Schjang women’s softball league semifinals opening game, the Obama Mamas crushed the Pain Killers 11-2 behind a five-hit pitching effort from ace Sherry Simmonds. The Obama Mamas scored all the runs they would need in the first inning and Simmonds did the rest.
After the Pain Killers failed to score in the top of the first inning, the Obama Mamas exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the inning. They scored on just three hits as the Pain Killers' starting pitcher allowed six walks in the inning with many of them scoring. The Pain killers had no answer in the bottom of the inning.
The score would stay that way until the top of the third when the Pain Killers got on the board with one run on an error. They would not score again until the sixth.
The Obama Mamas came up empty in the bottom of the inning but would go on to score one in the bottom of the fourth on Reneah Guzman's RBI ground-out and two unearned runs in the bottom of the fifth to complete their scoring for the game.
The Pain Killers' final run came in the top of the sixth on Dania Bollings’ RBI triple to set the final score at 11-2.
